G37 Convertible Spare Tire Kit

If you have a 2009+ Infiniti G37 Convertible and you happen to live somewhere other than Maryland, then you probably have a Tire Repair Kit in your trunk instead of a spare tire. Why is it this way? No idea. Someone within Nissan made the decision based on space, weight, or cost. As the trunk has such little space in the convertible as it is, I would assume it was to give more usable space to consumers. Regardless, if having a spare tire is high on your list of importance then there is an option.

Infiniti, through their dealerships, now offers a spare tire accessory kit for G37 Convertible owners. The kit comes with the rim, car jack, tool kit, and mounting hardware. Missing is the tire which is ordered seperately:

Part Number 999W5-JV000: G37 Conv, Spare Tire kit
Part Number TBILL-S0559: Bridgestone T145 spare tire

The images below show the kit, hardware and installation. The only part that must really be installed is the black tire mounting bracket. Otherwise, there is no real effort.
